King Soopers is seeking a Grocery Clerk for the Bakery/Deli to deliver outstanding customer service, prepare items per customer requests, and maintain a safe, clean environment that encourages repeat visits.

The role includes offering samples, informing customers about specials, ensuring accurate portions, and following food safety and temperature guidelines while supporting the department manager to meet sales goals.

Responsibilities

• Grocery Clerk (Bakery/Deli) will prepare items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or products they inquire about.
• Inform customers of bakery and/or deli specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products that they ordered and correct portion size.
• Recommend deli or bakery items to customers to ensure they get products they want and need.
• Use bakery equipment (refrigerators, freezers, slicers, ovens) according to guidelines.
• Prepare foods according to food temperature logs and cooking instructions.
• Measure, prepare and mix ingredients as per recipe using kitchen utensils and equipment.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Review sell-by dates and take appropriate action.
• Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers and keep logs.
