Responsibilities

• Grocery Clerk (Bakery/Deli) will prepare items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover items they inquire about.
• Inform customers of bakery/deli specials and provide fresh, correctly portioned items.
• Recommend deli or bakery items to customers and respond to questions about products.
• Use bakery equipment (refrigerators, freezers, slicers, ovens) per guidelines.
• Prepare foods according to recipes and food temperature logs.
• Measure, mix and prepare ingredients with appropriate utensils.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Maintain temperature logs and proper temperatures in cases/coolers.
• Provide a welcoming environment and assist with questions to ensure customer satisfaction.
