Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain a food handlers permit once employed.
• Experience in bakery/deli or retail is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bakery items per customer requests using appropriate equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover items.
• Inform customers about bakery/deli specials and promotions.
• Ensure products are fresh and properly portioned to prevent shrink.
• Use bakery equipment like refrigerators, slicers, ovens per guidelines.
• Follow food safety regulations and temperature logs.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Assist with inventory and respond to customer questions about products.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming department environment and safety practices.
