Responsibilities

• Prepare bakery items per customer requests using bakery equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover items.
• Inform customers of bakery and deli specials.
• Provide fresh products in correct portions to prevent shrink.
• Recommend deli or bakery items to meet customer needs.
• Use equipment (refrigerators, freezers, slicers, ovens) per guidelines.
• Prepare foods according to temperature logs and instructions.
• Measure, mix ingredients with kitchen utensils.
• Package, label and inventory ingredients.
• Check product quality and review sell-by dates.
• Use kitchen equipment (stove, scale, fryer, steamer, etc.).
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Report discrepancies to the department manager.
• Understand store layout to locate products.
• Stay current with ads and promotions.
• Gain knowledge of products and respond to questions.
• Maintain inventory awareness and note discrepancies.
• Ensure proper temperatures and logs.
• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create welcoming environment and answer customer questions.
• Adhere to food safety regulations.
• Reinforce safety programs and identify unsafe conditions.
• Inspect equipment and notify repairs.
• Notify management of accidents.
