Responsibilities

• Grocery Clerk (Bakery/Deli) will prepare items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover items or products they inquire about.
• Inform customers of bakery and/or deli specials and products.
• Provide customers with fresh products and correct portions to prevent shrink.
• Recommend deli or bakery items to meet customer needs.
• Use bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers and ovens per guidelines.
• Prepare foods according to temperature logs and cooking instructions.
• Measure, prepare and mix ingredients with kitchen utensils and equipment.
• Label and inventory ingredients and merchandise.
• Check product quality and review sell-by dates.
• Maintain proper temperatures in cases/coolers and logs.
• Stay aware of inventory and assist with stocking and inspections.
• Promote trust and respect among associates and create a welcoming environment.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and safety procedures.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and report any repairs needed.
