Responsibilities

• Grocery Clerk (Bakery/Deli) will prepare items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or products they inquire about.
• Inform customers of bakery and/or deli specials and promotions.
• Provide customers with fresh products that meet ordered quantities and correct portion sizes.
• Recommend bakery or deli items to meet customers' needs and preferences.
• Operate bakery equipment (refrigerators, freezers, slicers, ovens) per company guidelines.
• Prepare foods according to temperature logs and cooking instructions.
• Measure and mix ingredients using suitable utensils and equipment.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise accurately.
• Check product quality and review sell-by dates to prevent shrink.
• Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers with logs.
• Promote a welcoming environment and respond to customer questions.
