Job summary

The Kroger Co. is hiring a Bakery/Deli Clerk to deliver outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment. You will assist with bakery and deli items, ensure accurate portions, and help customers find products that meet their needs. Emphasis on safety and cleanliness supports excellent shopping experiences.

You will work with team members to maintain fresh displays, follow temperature logs, and participate in labeling and inventory processes while upholding Kroger’s Customer 1st standards.

Responsibilities

• Grocery Clerk (Bakery/Deli) prepares items per customer requests using bakery equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover items.
• Inform customers of bakery/deli specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products and correct portion sizes to prevent shrink.
• Recommend deli or bakery items to meet customer needs.
• Operate bakery equipment (refrigerators, slicers, ovens) per guidelines.
• Prepare foods according to temperature logs and cooking instructions.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
