Responsibilities

• Prepare items per customer requests using bakery equipment
• Offer product samples to help customers discover items
• Inform customers of bakery/deli specials
• Provide fresh products ordered with correct portion sizes
• Recommend deli or bakery items to meet customer needs
• Use bakery equipment (refrigerators, freezers, slicers, ovens) per guidelines
• Prepare foods according to temperature logs and cooking instructions
• Measure and mix ingredients using kitchen utensils and equipment
• Package, label and inventory ingredients
• Check product quality and review sell-by dates
• Use kitchen equipment (stove, scale, fryer, steamer, etc.)
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise
• Report discrepancies to department manager
• Know store layout to locate products for customers
• Stay updated with ads and promotions
• Gain knowledge about products and provide recommendations
• Monitor inventory levels and note discrepancies
• Maintain proper temperatures and logs
• Promote trust and respect among associates
• Create welcoming environment for customers across the store
