Responsibilities

• Grocery Clerk (Bakery/Deli) prepares items per customer requests using bakery equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items.
• Inform customers of bakery/deli specials and promotions.
• Provide customers with fresh products per order and correct portion sizes.
• Recommend deli or bakery items to meet customer needs and preferences.
• Use bakery equipment (refrigerators, slicers, ovens) per company guidelines.
• Prepare foods according to temperature logs and cooking instructions.
• Measure and mix ingredients using kitchen utensils and equipment.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
• Check product quality and review sell-by dates to prevent shrink.
• Ensure proper temperature in cases and coolers and maintain logs.
