Responsibilities

• Prepare bakery and deli items according to customer requests using proper equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or inquire about products.
• Inform customers of bakery and deli specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products in correct portion sizes to prevent shrink.
• Recommend bakery or deli items to customers based on their needs.
• Use bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens according to guidelines.
• Follow food safety procedures, including temperature logs and cooking instructions.
• Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients using kitchen utensils and equipment.
• Label, package, and inventory ingredients and merchandise appropriately.
• Check product quality and review 'sell by' dates, taking necessary actions.
• Maintain store layout knowledge to locate products easily.
• Stay updated on current promotions and seasonal ads.
• Maintain inventory and stock levels, noting discrepancies.
• Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers, maintaining logs.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers and promote trust among associates.
• Adhere to all food safety and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions or accidents.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment, managing conflicts professionally.
• Act with honesty and integrity, following directions and seeking help when needed.
• Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
