Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Customer service skills

Essential Job Functions:

1. Prepare bakery and deli items per customer requests using proper equipment.
2. Offer product samples to help customers discover new items.
3. Inform customers of bakery and deli specials.
4. Provide customers with ordered products, ensuring correct portion sizes to prevent shrinkage.
5. Recommend products to customers based on their needs.
6. Use bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens according to guidelines.
7. Follow food safety and temperature logs, cooking instructions.
8. Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients as per recipes.
9. Package, label, and inventory ingredients and merchandise.
10. Check product quality, review sell-by dates, and take necessary actions.
11. Properly use kitchen equipment like stoves, scales, fryers, and steamers.
12. Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
13. Report discrepancies in product ordering or shipping.
14. Understand store layout to locate products for customers.
15. Stay updated on current and upcoming promotions and ads.
16. Maintain knowledge of products and respond to customer inquiries.
17. Monitor inventory and stocking conditions, report discrepancies.
18. Ensure proper temperature maintenance in cases and coolers, keep logs.
19. Promote trust and respect among colleagues.
20. Create a welcoming environment for customers.
21. Adhere to food safety and safety procedures, report unsafe conditions.
22. Inspect equipment for maintenance needs and report issues.
23. Report accidents involving customers or employees.
24. Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.

Salary Range: $21.15 - $24.15
