Job Responsibilities:

• Inform customers of bakery and deli specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products and correct portions to prevent shrinkage.
• Recommend bakery or deli items to meet customer needs.
• Operate bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens following safety guidelines.
• Prepare foods according to recipes and food safety standards.
• Measure, mix, and prepare ingredients using appropriate utensils and equipment.
• Package, label, and inventory ingredients and products.
• Check product quality and freshness, reviewing 'sell by' dates.
• Use kitchen equipment properly and maintain cleanliness.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
• Report discrepancies in product ordering or shipping.
• Maintain knowledge of store layout and product locations.
• Stay updated on current and upcoming promotions and specials.
• Respond to customer questions and provide product suggestions.
• Monitor inventory levels and note discrepancies.
• Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers, keeping logs.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers.
• Adhere to food safety and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions.
