Key responsibilities include:
- Offering product samples to help customers discover new items.
- Informing customers of bakery and deli specials.
- Providing fresh, correctly portioned products to prevent shrinkage.
- Recommending bakery or deli items to meet customer needs.
- Using bakery equipment according to guidelines.
- Preparing foods following temperature logs and cooking instructions.
- Measuring, preparing, and mixing ingredients as per recipes.
- Packaging, labeling, and inventorying ingredients and products.
- Checking product quality and freshness, reviewing 'sell by' dates.
- Properly using kitchen equipment such as refrigerators, slicers, ovens, etc.
- Labeling, stocking, and inventory management.
- Reporting discrepancies in product ordering or shipping.
- Knowing the store layout to assist customers efficiently.
- Staying updated on current and upcoming promotions.
- Maintaining product knowledge and responding to customer questions.
- Monitoring inventory and stocking conditions.
- Maintaining proper temperature logs and ensuring safety standards.
- Creating a welcoming environment for customers.
- Adhering to food safety and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions or accidents.
- Inspecting equipment and notifying management of repairs.
- Working cooperatively in a fast-paced environment and managing conflicts appropriately.
