Responsibilities

• Offer product samples and inform customers of specials in bakery/deli departments.
• Provide fresh, correctly portioned products to customers to prevent shrinkage.
• Recommend products to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Operate bakery equipment according to guidelines and prepare foods following safety and quality standards.
• Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients, and package and label products accurately.
• Check product quality, review expiration dates, and maintain inventory and temperature logs.
• Maintain knowledge of products and respond to customer inquiries with suggestions.
• Ensure proper storage temperatures and adhere to food safety regulations.
• Promote a respectful environment among staff and create a welcoming environment for customers.
• Follow safety procedures, report unsafe conditions, and conduct equipment inspections.
• Assist in managing conflicts and handle customer and employee incidents appropriately.
• Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
