Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages our customers to return. Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals established for the department and monitor all established quality assurance standards. Responsibilities

1. Prepare bakery and deli items according to customer requests using proper equipment.
2. Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or inquire about products.
3. Inform customers of bakery and/or deli specials.
4. Provide customers with fresh products in correct portion sizes to prevent shrinkage.
5. Recommend bakery or deli items to ensure customer satisfaction.
6. Use bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens according to guidelines.
7. Follow food safety and temperature logs, and prepare foods according to instructions.
8. Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients as per recipes using appropriate utensils and equipment.
9. Label, package, and inventory ingredients and merchandise properly.
10. Check product quality, review 'sell by' dates, and take necessary actions.
11. Maintain awareness of inventory levels and stock accordingly.
12. Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers, and keep logs updated.
13. Create a welcoming environment for customers, answering questions and making suggestions.
14. Adhere to all food safety regulations and safety procedures.
15. Inspect equipment regularly and report any issues.
16. Report customer or employee accidents to management.
17. Work effectively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
18. Manage conflicts in a cooperative manner.
19. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
20. Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
21. Support and assist diverse customer groups, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
22. Perform all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
