Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals established for the department and monitor all quality assurance standards. Responsibilities

• Prepare bakery and deli items according to customer requests using proper equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or inquire about products.
• Inform customers of bakery and deli specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products in correct portion sizes to prevent shrinkage.
• Recommend bakery and deli items to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Use bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens according to guidelines.
• Follow food safety and temperature logs, and prepare foods following cooking instructions.
• Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients using appropriate utensils and equipment.
• Package, label, and inventory ingredients and merchandise.
• Check product quality and review 'sell by' dates.
• Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers, and keep logs.
• Stock and label merchandise, and report discrepancies.
• Assist customers by locating products and responding to inquiries.
• Maintain awareness of inventory levels and store promotions.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and safety procedures.
• Report unsafe conditions, accidents, and equipment needs to management.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment, managing conflicts professionally.
• Act with honesty and integrity, respecting customer and business confidentiality.
• Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Perform all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
