Responsibilities

• Prepare bakery and deli items according to customer requests using proper equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or inquire about products.
• Inform customers of bakery and/or deli specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products in the correct portion size to prevent shrinkage.
• Recommend bakery or deli items to customers to meet their needs.
• Use bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens according to company guidelines.
• Prepare foods following food safety and temperature logs.
• Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients as per recipes using kitchen utensils and equipment.
• Package, label, and inventory ingredients and merchandise.
• Check product quality and review 'sell by' dates.
• Properly operate kitchen equipment including stoves, scales, fryers, and steamers.
• Stock and label merchandise, report discrepancies, and maintain inventory.
• Assist customers in locating products and respond to product queries.
• Maintain awareness of inventory levels and ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers and promote trust among associates.
• Follow all food safety and safety procedures, report unsafe conditions, and inspect equipment.
• Handle customer and employee accidents appropriately.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment, manage conflicts, and act with honesty and integrity.
• Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
