• Offering product samples to help customers discover new items.
• Informing customers of bakery and deli specials.
• Providing customers with fresh products ordered, ensuring correct portion sizes to prevent shrink.
• Recommending deli or bakery items to meet customer needs.
• Using bakery equipment per company guidelines.
• Preparing foods according to safety and cooking standards.
• Measuring, preparing, and mixing ingredients as per recipes.
• Packaging, labeling, and inventorying ingredients and products.
• Checking product quality and freshness, reviewing 'sell by' dates.
• Properly using kitchen equipment such as refrigerators, slicers, ovens, etc.
• Labeling, stocking, and inventory management.
• Reporting discrepancies in product ordering/shipping.
• Understanding store layout and product locations.
• Staying current with advertisements and promotions.
• Maintaining knowledge of products and responding to customer inquiries.
