Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Customer service skills
- Effective communication skills
- Knowledge of basic math
- Ability to obtain a food handler's permit upon employment

Essential Job Functions:
- Prepare bakery and deli items according to customer requests using proper equipment.
- Offer product samples to customers to promote new items.
- Inform customers of bakery and deli specials.
- Provide customers with fresh, correctly portioned products to prevent shrinkage.
- Recommend items to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Use bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens following safety guidelines.
- Follow food safety and temperature logs during food preparation.
- Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients as per recipes using appropriate utensils and equipment.
- Properly package, label, and inventory ingredients and products.
- Check product quality and expiration dates regularly.
- Use kitchen equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain inventory and stock levels, report discrepancies.
- Understand store layout to assist customers efficiently.
- Stay updated on current promotions and product knowledge.
- Ensure proper storage temperatures and maintain logs.
- Foster a respectful and welcoming environment for customers and staff.
- Adhere to food safety and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions.
- Inspect and maintain equipment, reporting repairs needed.
- Handle customer and employee incidents appropriately.
- Work effectively in a high-paced environment, managing conflicts professionally.
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding all business and customer information.
