Essential Job Functions:

1. Prepare bakery/deli items per customer requests using proper equipment.
2. Offer product samples to help customers discover new items.
3. Inform customers of bakery and deli specials.
4. Provide fresh products ordered by customers, maintaining correct portion sizes.
5. Recommend products to customers to meet their needs.
6. Use bakery equipment according to guidelines.
7. Follow food safety and temperature logs during food preparation.
8. Measure and prepare ingredients using appropriate utensils and equipment.
9. Package, label, and inventory ingredients and merchandise.
10. Check product quality and freshness, review "sell by" dates.
11. Use kitchen equipment properly (refrigerators, slicers, ovens, etc.).
12. Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
13. Report discrepancies in product ordering/shipping.
14. Understand store layout and locate products for customers.
15. Stay updated on current and upcoming promotions and ads.
16. Maintain knowledge of products and respond to customer questions.
17. Monitor inventory levels and conditions.
18. Ensure proper storage temperatures and maintain logs.
19. Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome and valued.
20. Adhere to food safety regulations and safety procedures.
21. Identify and report unsafe conditions or equipment issues.
22. Assist in preventive maintenance and report repairs needed.
23. Report customer or employee accidents.
24. Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
25. Manage conflicts professionally.
26. Act with honesty and integrity, respecting customer and business information.

Salary Range: $18.75 - $24.80
