Job Description

Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages our customers to return. Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals established for the department and monitor all established quality assurance standards. Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

1. Prepare bakery and deli items according to customer requests using proper equipment.
2. Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or inquire about products.
3. Inform customers of bakery and/or deli specials.
4. Provide customers with fresh products in the correct portion size to prevent shrinkage.
5. Recommend deli or bakery items to customers to ensure satisfaction.
6. Use bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens according to guidelines.
7. Prepare foods following food safety and temperature logs.
8. Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients as per recipes using appropriate utensils and equipment.
9. Properly package, label, and inventory ingredients and merchandise.
10. Check product quality, review "sell by" dates, and take necessary actions.
11. Use kitchen equipment like stoves, scales, fryers, steamers, etc., safely.
12. Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
13. Report discrepancies in product ordering or shipping.
14. Understand store layout and locate products for customers.
15. Stay updated on current and upcoming promotions and ads.
16. Maintain knowledge of products and assist customers with questions and suggestions.
17. Monitor inventory levels and note discrepancies.
18. Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers, keeping logs.
19. Create a welcoming environment for customers and foster trust among associates.
20. Follow all food safety regulations and guidelines.
21. Adhere to safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and notify management.
22. Inspect equipment regularly and report repairs needed.
23. Report customer or employee accidents promptly.
24. Work effectively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
25. Manage conflicts professionally and cooperatively.
26. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
27. Follow directions and seek assistance when needed.
28. Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
29. Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.

Qualifications
