Responsibilities

• Prepare bakery and deli items according to customer requests using proper equipment.
• Offer product samples and inform customers of specials.
• Provide fresh products and correct portions to prevent shrinkage.
• Recommend products to customers and ensure proper use of equipment.
• Follow food safety and temperature guidelines, label and inventory products.
• Maintain store layout knowledge, keep current on promotions, and respond to customer questions.
• Monitor inventory and ensure proper temperatures are maintained.
• Create a welcoming environment, promote trust among staff, and adhere to safety procedures.
• Support a cooperative team environment and handle conflicts professionally.
• Follow directions, seek assistance when needed, and support diverse customer needs.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.

Qualifications

• Customer service skills and effective communication.
• Basic math knowledge and ability to obtain a food handler permit.
• Previous bakery or deli experience is helpful, along with retail experience.
