Job summary

Sam's East, Inc. in Chesterfield, MO is seeking a Cake Decorator to deliver friendly service and ensure accurate bakery production. You will decorate items using bags, tips, nozzles, and follow recipes, while maintaining food safety and cold chain standards.

You will collaborate with team members to manage stock, reduce waste, and engage customers with product knowledge and upsell opportunities, especially around seasonal events such as holidays and family celebrations.

Qualifications

• 6 months' experience in fresh production area.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Complete trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period if selected.

Responsibilities

• Team Member: collaborate with cross functional teams and educate others on tools, tasks, and resources; maintain in-stock levels and control shrinkage.
• Decorating Expert: plan bakery production, ensure quality, follow recipes, use decorating bags and tips to create flowers and lettering; maintain sanitation and inventory.
• Techie: use handheld devices to drive sales and improve the shopping experience and product quality.
• Owner: ensure quality and date control, reduce waste, plan for seasonal events, assist members with purchases and resolve concerns.
• Talent Ambassador: model high service standards and mentor others, foster a respectful, team-oriented culture.
• Act with Integrity: adhere to policies, communicate progress, adapt to change.
