Job summary

Kroger bakery position seeks a friendly team member to create outstanding customer experiences in the bakery department. You will assist the department manager to hit sales goals, maintain safety and cleanliness, and respond to customer questions about bakery items.

You’ll prepare items, handle samples, and ensure products are fresh and properly portioned while using bakery equipment responsibly.

Qualifications

• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Strong communication skills with customers and team.
• Basic math skills for cashiering and inventory.
• Current food handlers permit upon employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist department manager to reach sales and profit goals.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment for customers and associates.
• Answer questions about bakery products and respond to customer needs.
• Prepare bakery items per requests using proper equipment.
• Offer samples and inform customers of specials.
• Ensure correct portion sizes and freshness of products.
