You will assist customers, stock shelves, handle bakery orders, and follow strict sanitation standards in a fast-paced store environment. The position is non-exempt with daytime shifts, and the anticipated starting hourly wage ranges from $11.50 to $14.40, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Less than High school or equivalent experience and six months of less of similar or related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions and treating customers as the most important people in the store.
• Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner, whether the encounter takes place in the employee’s designated department or elsewhere in the store.
• Makes an effort to learn customers’ names and to address them by name whenever possible.
• Assists customers by escorting them to products, securing out-of-reach items, loading/unloading heavy items, noting suggestions or requests, and other tasks to enhance the shopping experience.
• Reviews the status and appearance of the food for freshness and reviews orders for the day.
• Takes customer orders at the bakery counter and works with coworkers to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Follows sanitation procedures and keeps work area clean and neat.
• Prepares, finishes and replenishes product; pulls product from cooler/freezer for baking.
• Runs department registers and processes payments; ensures proper cash handling.
