Job summary

Niemann Foods is seeking a Baker to support daily bakery operations and ensure high-quality fresh baked goods. Under the Bakery Manager, you will follow baking plans and contribute to prep, proofing, and baking of bread, sweet goods, and specialty items.

Essential duties include delivering guest service, operating bakery equipment safely, and performing quality checks while maintaining inventory and cleanliness. Health codes, store policies, and safety practices guide daily work.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write reports and simple correspondence
• Ability to present information clearly in one-on-one and small group settings to customers and associates.
• Basic math concepts (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication)
• Food Handler’s Certification as required by State Law provided at store level

Responsibilities

• Delivers superior guest service and ensures customer satisfaction
• Operates bakery equipment safely
• Prepares, proofs, and bakes a wide variety of bread, pastries, and specialty items
• Quality assurance checks of department
• Proper handling and rotation of product
• Maintain stock levels, inventory, and cleanliness
• Promote sales and offer samples
• Package and label product per standards
• Follow health code guidelines and store policies
• Assist with safety and other duties as assigned by supervisor
