Job summary

Bakery department is looking for a friendly team member to support daily operations in a fast-paced environment. You will help with customer service, stocking, and the display of baked goods while adhering to sanitation standards.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, tagging products, and assisting with baking and special orders as needed. This is a part-time, on-site role requiring the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication skills to provide adequate customer service.
• Dexterity in hands to wrap and package products.
• Must be able to read and write to properly tag and price the products.
• Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds as needed.
• Must be able to stand upright for most of your scheduled work shift.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a clean bakery area.
• Maintain presentable and adequately filled shelves.
• Help prepare, package, and display baked goods such as bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies.
• Ensure proper tagging of all products is accurate and legible.
• Maintain the regular cleaning and sanitation program as established by company policies.
• Maintain good customer relations by providing prompt and courteous customer service.
• Greet all customers and be observant to your surroundings.
• Abide by all company policies as stated in the Employee Handbook.
• Answer phones and take special orders.
• Assist in baking of products.
• Assist in taking a cake order for customers.
• Assist in unloading and proper storage of merchandise as it is delivered.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and organized bakery department, and assisting with the preparation, packaging, and stocking of bakery products.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Maintain presentable and adequately filled shelves.
• Control freshness by coding all products and pulling out-of-code merchandise daily.
• Help prepare, package, and display baked goods such as bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies.
• Ensure proper tagging of all products is accurate and legible.
• Maintain the regular cleaning and sanitation program as established by company policies.
• Maintain good customer relations by providing prompt and courteous customer service.
