Hy-Vee is seeking a Bakery Clerk to support our Bakery department. You will greet customers, assist with product selection, prepare and replenish baked goods, and help maintain freshness and cleanliness in a fast-paced store bakery.

No prior experience is required as we provide training and opportunities to grow within a collaborative team environment. This role emphasizes friendly service and teamwork to ensure a positive customer experience.

Qualifications

• You don't need prior experience for this role; training will be provided
• Follow written and verbal instructions with confidence
• Use basic math for simple addition/subtraction and recording
• Communicate clearly with customers and teammates

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and create a welcoming bakery experience
• Assist customers in finding products and taking bakery orders
• Review daily orders and monitor product freshness and supply levels
• Prepare, finish, and replenish baked goods from cooler/freezer
• Follow sanitation procedures and keep work area clean
• Check in product, stock shelves, and review invoices
• Operate the department register to process payments when applicable
• Remove trash and maintain a tidy department
• Work with teammates to ensure a smooth customer experience
• Adhere to dress code, hygiene standards, and company policies
• Assist in other store areas and on special projects as needed
