Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is hiring a Bakery Clerk at our Hixson, TN location. This full-time role involves proofing and baking unfinished bakery items, stocking and displaying according to production charts, and ensuring safety and quality standards in the bakery department.

You will support club policies, work as part of a team, and help deliver excellent member service while maintaining a clean, friendly environment. Weekly pay and benefits are featured in this role.

Qualifications

• Experience in bakery or customer service preferred.
• Knowledge of bakery products preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Proofs and bakes all unfinished bakery goods by following each item’s product handling information using ovens and/or other equipment.
• Packages freshly baked goods, including cookies, Danish pastries, muffins, rolls, breads, pies, cakes, and other items as needed.
• Decorates special order or case product.
• Rotates and stores bakery products following proper work methods on food safety, food freshness, and product handling policies and procedures.
• Receives, inspects, and stores bakery shipments.
• Maintains all club policies and procedures.
• Generates labels and price tickets for bakery goods and performs price check functions when necessary.
• Cleans and sanitizes equipment, display fixtures, and food surfaces in the bakery, including ovens, cooking utensils, refrigerated cases, display racks, and tables.
