Job summary

Fiesta Mart in Dallas, TX is seeking a Bakery Clerk at Store 068 Dallas Abrams. Under direct supervision from the Bakery Manager, you will assist customers with bakery purchases, keep shelves organized, and help with special orders.

You should read and write Spanish/English, provide friendly service, and be able to lift up to 60 pounds. Food handler certification may be required; prior PC/Outlook skills and a Retail Management Certificate are a plus.

Qualifications

• Read and write Spanish/English, interact with general public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with bakery purchases and special orders.
• Clean shelving and display cases, and rotate stock in the bakery area.
• Coordinate with the Baker to determine items to bake or decorate.
• Help in department cleaning and sanitation to maintain a clean work area.
