Qualifications

The Opportunity

Under direct supervision from the Bakery Manager, the Bakery Clerk provides friendly, courteous, and helpful service to customers. The Bakery Clerk assists customers with bakery purchases, cleans shelving and display cases, and maintains self‑serve displays in the front of the store and adjacent to the bakery. The Bakery Clerk works with customers to take special orders and collaborates with the Baker to determine which items may need to be baked or decorated. This position also helps in department cleaning by hosing down floors with soap and water to ensure cleanliness. The working environment is typical for a fast‑paced grocery store, and essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking, and kneeling as well as visual and auditory requirements.
