Responsibilities

As a Bakery Clerk at Sprouts Farmers Market, your responsibilities include:

• Preparing and packaging all baked goods
• Assisting the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising baked goods
• Providing high-level customer service and ensuring bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
• Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of the bakery area and equipment
• Stocking, filling, facing, and ensuring pricing accuracy of bakery products
• Inspecting and logging products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality

Qualifications

To qualify as a Bakery Clerk, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, and have 1-2 years of bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
• Be dependable and reliable, with the ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Possess outgoing and friendly behavior, a positive attitude, and good communication skills
• Be able to answer phones, take special orders, and perform general housekeeping
• Operate equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, and hand trucks safely and effectively
• Stand for up to 8 hours, with the ability to lift and transfer items up to 40 lbs. as needed
• Adhere to safety, health, and regulatory standards, and maintain a Food Handlers permit
