Responsibilities

• Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising baked goods.
• Provide high-level customer service and ensure Bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented, maintaining cleanliness of the Bakery department.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment, including cleaning shelves, products, and floors, and removing debris.
• Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy; monitor product rotation and discard outdated items.
• Receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent; 1-2 years bakery experience preferred.
• Dependable with a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly, positive attitude, and good communication skills.
• Ability to answer phones and take orders.
• Perform housekeeping and sanitation tasks.
• Operate knives, scales, wrappers, and other equipment safely.
• Stand for up to 8 hours; lift trays up to 5 lbs. and items up to 40 lbs. as needed.
• Adhere to safety, health, and regulatory standards, including obtaining a Food Handlers permit.
