Overview of Responsibilities

• Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods.
• Provide high-level customer service, ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, presented, and the bakery area remains clean.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary bakery environment, including cleaning shelves, equipment, and floors.
• Stock, fill, face, and ensure correct pricing; monitor product rotation and discard outdated items.
• Receive, inspect, and log shipments for accuracy, temperature, and quality.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent; 1-2 years bakery experience preferred.
• Dependable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly, positive attitude, good communication skills, and team participation.
• Ability to answer phones, take special orders, and perform general housekeeping.
• Ability to operate knives, scales, wrappers, and other equipment; accurately weigh and label products.
• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours, lift trays up to 5 lbs., and transfer items up to 40 lbs. as needed.
• Adherence to safety, health, and regulatory standards, with a valid Food Handlers permit.
