Job Description: Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages customers to return. Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals, monitor quality assurance standards, and demonstrate core values such as respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare bakery items according to customer requests using proper equipment.
2. Offer product samples and inform customers of bakery specials.
3. Provide fresh products in correct portion sizes, recommend bakery items, and ensure quality and freshness.
4. Use bakery equipment safely and follow food safety regulations.
5. Label, stock, inventory, and report discrepancies.
6. Assist customers in locating products and answer questions about items.
7. Maintain temperature logs and inventory conditions.
8. Create a welcoming environment and promote trust among customers and staff.
9. Follow safety procedures, report unsafe conditions, and ensure equipment is in good repair.
10. Perform other duties as required to support bakery operations.

Qualifications:

• Customer service skills and ability to handle stressful situations.

• Ability to obtain a food handler’s permit upon employment.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in customer service, bakery, deli, or retail environments.
