Job summary

North-State-Grocery is seeking a detail-oriented Deli/Bakery Associate to provide friendly service while performing prep, assembly and stocking tasks. Responsibilities include using a meat slicer, operating the oven, and maintaining the deli and bakery areas throughout the day.

Ideal candidates will have a world-famous friendly attitude toward customers and team members, good time management, and the ability to lift up to 45 pounds. Safety and sanitation practices are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in deli/bakery environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Follow written and verbal instructions and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Make sandwiches and prepare bakery items.
• Operate meat slicer and bake products as required.
• Maintain salads and other deli items throughout the day.
• Stock freezer, walk-in, bakery tables, cheese case and HMR case.
• Clean and sanitize bakery deli department and equipment.
• Enter information into deli scales and bakery printers.
• General cleanup and packaging duties.
• Adhere to all company policies and safety guidelines.

Production, Wrapping, Weighing, Pricing, Merchandising, Cleaning, Sanitation, Stocking, Putting Loads Away, Organizing Freezers & Walk-In Refrigerators.Essential Job Functions:Making sandwiches.Using the meat slicer.Using the oven for baking bakery product.Making salads & maintaining throughout the day.Stocking freezer and walk-in.Stocking bakery tables, cheese case and HMR case.Using cleaning products to maintain sanitary conditions.Product knowledge.Entering information into deli scales and bakery printers.Detailed cleaning of entire bakery deli department.Cleaning the rotisserie with authorized oven cleaner.Packaging.General clean up.Be aware of surroundings and working safe.Abide by all company policies as stated in the employee handbook.Knowledge Skills Needed:World famous friendly attitude with customers & team members.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.Ability to multi task.Ability to manage time effectively.Ability to lift heavy objects up to 45 pounds.Able to stand on your feet constantly.
