Job summary

Knowlans Super Markets Inc is seeking a Bakery Stock Clerk to support the bakery manager by ensuring accurate price markings, restocking and rotating merchandise per store policies. You will assist in creating appealing displays, maintain cleanliness, and provide friendly customer service on the sales floor.

The role may involve lifting up to 50lbs and standing for long periods, with emphasis on food safety and department standards. Experience is helpful but not required.

Basic Purpose: To provide support to the bakery manager by ensuring accurately displayed price markings, replenishing product supplies and properly rotating merchandise according to store policies and procedures.Major Responsibilities:Provide customer service through friendly, courteous, fair and honest treatment of all customers. Maintain service levels on sales floor.Assist in building store displays for maximum sales and turnover. Possess knowledge of department product mix, including, but not limited to, variety, taste, and preparation of items.Follow approved procedures for receiving product, price marking and restocking to ensure product/quality integrity.Maintain cleanliness of department by executing day-to-day tasks of dishwashing, floor care, and counter sanitation procedures.Maintain refrigerated coolers, store shelves and other displays according to tag allocation, product movement and department standards.Prepare, package, and merchandise bakery products in accordance with company policy.Maintain a professional appearance by adhering to the Company’s dress policy.Follow all Company policies and procedures.Maintain perishable merchandise by rotating product in accordance with store policy and product code dates; pull all out-of-code merchandise.Other duties as assigned.Physical Demands and Environment:The position of bakery stock clerk requires standing, reaching, stopping, kneeling, bending, push and pull movements during the majority of a shift. Occasional lifting up to 50lbs is required. Bakery stock clerks should be physically able to perform all jobs/tasks associated with all aspects of store operations.The majority of tasks will be performed within the confines of the store, with some tasks being outdoors and in temperature controlled rooms within the store.Minimum Requirements for Position:Education: High diploma helpful, but not necessary.Experience: Previous experience helpful, but not necessary.Computer Experience: N/A
