Job summary

Foodbuy, a Compass Group USA subsidiary, is seeking a Category Analyst to support category managers with analytics and supplier programs to drive growth across assigned categories. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and the supplier base, delivering insights and recommendations to advance the category development process.

You'll perform data mining, modeling, and forecasting, maintaining accurate termsets, catalogs, and price information, while aligning with budgeting and program

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
• At least 1 year in supply chain, category, finance, or related field; supplier management preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to handle multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Ad hoc analysis, reports, market trends, pricing and rebate databases.
• Support the development of category plans, joint business plans/reviews and presentation materials for key strategic supplier and customer partnerships.
• Managing the roll-out, implementation and communication of new programs or program changes per company processes.
• Monthly income by supplier (IBS) forecasting preparation, variance analysis and tracking against budget.
• Conducting income analysis, forecast changes, or performing other duties supporting category income drivers.
• Liaison with cross-functional groups to ensure timely management of termsets, MOGs, catalogs, and other system needs.
• Identify opportunities and make recommendations related to contract coverage, conversion opportunities, pricing/volume allowance, new programs, and contracts.
• Work with suppliers on issue resolution.
• Complete system data accuracy and maintenance - term set management, price releases, price audits, non-transactional, subscriptions, item mapping, and manufacturer catalog.
• Support required internal processes including budgeting, pricing, product recommendations, etc.
• Ensure excellent execution of programs and team’s required processes.
