BAKERY/CAKE DECORATOR (Finance)

Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages customers to return. Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals established for the department and monitor all quality assurance standards. Minimum qualifications:

• Retail experience
• Bakery/cake decorating experience
• Ability to handle stressful situations
• Knowledge of basic math
• Effective communication skills

Preferred qualifications:

• Second language skills (speaking, reading, or writing)
• Ability to create an inviting environment for customers
• Knowledge of products and ability to respond to customer inquiries and make suggestions
• Offer product samples and prepare bakery items, including wedding cakes, per customer requests using proper bakery equipment
• Decorate bakery items such as cakes, pastries, cupcakes, and cookies
• Label, stock, sign, and inventory merchandise
• Report discrepancies in product ordering/shipping
• Understand store layout and locate products for customers
• Maintain inventory and stock conditions
• Adhere to health, safety, and civil code regulations
• Follow merchandising, customer service, safety, and loss prevention policies
• Practice safety procedures and report unsafe conditions
• Perform equipment inspections and notify management of repairs
• Report safety risks, accidents, and illegal activities

Salary Range: $16.76 - $17.76
