BAKERY/CAKE DECORATOR (Finance)

Minimum requirements:

• Retail experience
• Bakery/cake decorating experience
• Ability to handle stressful situations
• Knowledge of basic math
• Effective communication skills

Preferred qualifications:

• Second language skills (speaking, reading, or writing)
• Ability to create a welcoming environment for customers
• Knowledge of products and ability to respond to inquiries and make suggestions
• Offer product samples and prepare bakery items, including wedding cakes, using proper equipment
• Decorate cakes, pastries, cupcakes, cookies, and other items
• Label, stock, and inventory merchandise
• Report discrepancies in product ordering/shipping
• Understand store layout and locate products for customers
• Maintain awareness of inventory and stock conditions
• Comply with health and safety regulations
• Follow merchandising, customer service, and safety policies
• Reinforce safety procedures and report unsafe conditions
• Perform equipment inspections and report repairs
• Report safety risks, incidents, or illegal activities
