Job summary

The Market in the Square is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Bakery Clerk to join its Bakery department. You will prepare, package, display, and merchandise bakery products, stock and clean displays, and assist customers in person and on the phone.

Weekend and holiday work is required; prior bakery experience is preferred, with strong communication and customer service skills to ensure quality service.

Responsibilities

• Preparing, packaging, displaying, and merchandising bakery products
• Stocking and cleaning displays as needed
• Assisting customers on the phone and in person
• Maintaining clean, safe and sanitary bakery area and equipment
• Ensuring stocking and rotation of all bakery products and supplies
• May be required to utilize equipment, such as fryers, mixers, scales, slicers and wrappers
