Northgate Gonzalez Market is hiring a Bakery Baker for a full-time position at our new Stanton store. You will prepare dough, bake goods, verify deliveries, and maintain bakery inventory while upholding safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has at least one year in bakery operations, can read and follow recipes, and communicates clearly with team members and customers. We offer an associate discount and a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent preferred, but not absolutely required.
• Minimum of one year of experience in full bakery operations and procedures; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Be able to calculate percentages and ratios when measuring ingredients in dough mixtures and recipes.
• Be able to hear, speak and understand the spoken word to respond to customer and supervisor requests.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English to read manuals, policies, and safety notices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a neat, well‑groomed appearance and wear approved uniform.
• Assist in receiving and unloading merchandise and verify deliveries.
• Prepare all dough and scratch baking mixtures per recipes and procedures.
• Load and unload ovens; monitor baking times and temperatures.
• Help order and maintain inventory; monitor shelf life and rotate stock.
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines consistently.
