Job summary

Gerrity's Supermarkets in Pennsylvania is hiring an Assistant Bakery Manager to support the Bakery Manager and maintain high customer service standards. The role requires professional conduct, accurate inventory control, and daily coordination with the Bakery team.

You will lead by example, ensure product quality and freshness, and comply with company policies while assisting with ordering, pricing, and display responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to calculate figures and amounts, such as pounds and weight increments.
• No minimum educational requirement needed.
• Ability to hear, speak, and understand the spoken word.
• Vision abilities include close, distant, and color vision with focused adjustment.
• Stand, reach and manipulate objects during duties.
• Ability to read, write, analyze and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Competent knowledge of all essential functions for department positions.
• Assist in maintaining supplies, inventory and shrink.
• Assist with invoices, transfers, inventories and ordering.
• Assist with ordering sufficient quantities of raw materials while maintaining prices.
• Maintain product quality, freshness and proper rotation.
• Direct stocking, display and rotation of bakery products.
