About BAKERY by Frothy Monkey

We are a wholesale BAKERY in Nashville owned by Frothy Monkey. Everything we bake is from scratch. Our team produces artisan breads, sandwich breads, muffins, cookies, layer cakes, and pies. We partner with local farms and producers to bring seasonal freshness and foster community around the table.

Role and Responsibilities

The Pastry Baker at BAKERY by Frothy Monkey includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities. Requirements may change based on production needs:

1. Scaling ingredients according to BAKERY Pastry Formulas
2. Mixing ingredients to proper incorporation using planetary mixers or by hand, depending on the product
3. Following formulas and recipes to produce baked goods and desserts
4. Receiving direction and feedback from Pastry Lead
5. Maintaining a clean, organized workspace and cleaning all equipment, benches, and floors after each shift
6. Assisting with packaging and sorting goods for delivery as needed

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Formal culinary/pastry baking education and/or equivalent experience preferred but not required. We are happy to train willing learners eager to develop their skills.

Preferred Skills

• Operating bakery equipment safely and efficiently
• Occasional overtime as needed
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly
• Strong communication skills in English
• Basic to moderate math skills
