Uncle Giuseppe’s Gourmet Bakery is seeking a dedicated Baker to craft a wide range of fresh-baked goods in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment. You will help produce pastries, cakes, breads, and custom orders while delivering top-notch service to customers.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of hands-on baking experience, solid knowledge of baking techniques, and strong communication and time-management skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Culinary school or bakery program is a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years baking in a professional setting.
• Strong knowledge of cakes, breads, pastries, and specialty baked goods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of baked goods (pies, cookies, pastries, cakes) using standard equipment.
• Conduct quality checks on ingredients and final products to ensure safety and quality.
• Interact with customers, take custom orders, and process payments.
• Maintain accurate production, inventory, and special order records.
• Ensure orders are fulfilled correctly and delivered on time.
• Clean and restock workstations, maintain a sanitary environment.
• Support team with additional duties as needed.

As a Baker, you'll play a key role in crafting a wide variety of fresh-baked goods, ensuring top-tier quality, taste, and presentation. From classic pastries to elegant cakes and custom orders, you’ll be part of a team that delivers exceptional products and service every day.

What You’ll Be Doing:

1. Prepare a variety of baked goods including pies, cookies, pastries, cakes, and more using mixers, ovens, blenders, and other baking equipment
2. Conduct quality checks on ingredients and final products to maintain food safety and excellence standards
3. Interact with customers by answering questions, taking custom orders, processing payments, and delivering warm, friendly service
4. Maintain accurate records of production, inventory, and special orders
5. Ensure all client orders are fulfilled correctly and delivered on time
6. Clean and restock workstations, maintaining a safe, organized, and sanitary work environment
7. Support the bakery team with additional tasks and duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For:

1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Formal baking education or training from a culinary school or bakery program is a plus
3. Minimum of 3 years of hands-on baking experience in a professional setting
4. Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and presentation for cakes, breads, pastries, and other specialty baked goods
5. Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
6. Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to consistency and quality
7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
8. Must be able to speak, read, and communicate clearly in English
9. Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
