Job summary

Lake Forest Village by PureHealth is seeking a dedicated culinary professional to manage dessert production and quality control in a post-acute care setting. This full-time role runs Monday through Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm, with a focus on consistency, safety, and customer service for residents.

You will lead from the front, train prep cooks, and ensure menu adherence while maintaining strict sanitation and inventory practices in a supportive kitchen team environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Two years’ culinary experience.
• ServSafe Food Handlers Certificate.
• Experience in a post-acute care or kitchen setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce dessert items and maintain quality control for all foods.
• Demonstrate advanced knife skills and cooking techniques.
• Identify and safely use all kitchen equipment.
• Label, date, and rotate products to ensure safety and freshness.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary work area per Health Department standards.
• Assist, train, and guide prep cooks and culinary staff.
