Job summary

AVI Foodsystems, Inc. is seeking an energetic Baker for Kenyon College in Gambier, OH. This full-time role involves overseeing bakery prep, creating desserts for dining and events, and supporting the kitchen under the direction of the General Manager or Chef.

The ideal candidate will have culinary training, strong math, reading, and writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lift up to 30 pounds. AVI offers a family culture and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and baking of bakery items and gourmet pastries.
• Create various desserts for the dining location and catered events.
• Prepare other food items as directed by General Manager or Chef.
• Maintain proper cooking and holding temperatures of foods.
• Bake and decorates cake.
• Conduct menu costing and planning.
• Set up product displays.
• Order, purchase, and stock bakery items.
