Job Details

• We are hiring immediately for a full-time BAKER position.
• Location: West Bend Insurance - 1900 South 18th Avenue, West Bend, IN 53095. Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full time, Monday - Friday, 5:30 am to 2:00 pm; more details upon interview.
• Requirement: Previous baking and cooking experience is required.
• Internal Employee Referral Bonus Available
• Pay Range: $15.00 to $22.00 per hour

Job Summary

Prepares baked goods according to recipes and production specifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Bake breads, pies, cakes, cookies, and other pastries as necessary per the provided production and catering sheets; assist in production planning to meet daily requirements.
2. Ensure proper food preparation by utilizing approved recipes, following prescribed production standards, and using proper equipment.
3. Assist with the completion of production records, including waste tracking, used/unused portions, and product shortages; inform supervisor when supplies are low.
4. Ensure proper presentation, food quality, portion control, and maintenance of proper serving temperatures.
5. Maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies, and utensils within the work area.
6. Handle food items appropriately, following all safety regulations during preparation and service.
7. Clean equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area for other assignments. Keep display equipment clean and debris-free.
8. Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a friendly, customer-service manner. Relay relevant concerns to supervisors.
9. Maintain composure and efficiency during peak production and service times.
10. Ensure all food is presented, served, and displayed according to standards.
11. Follow sanitation and safety principles, complying with corporate and OSHA standards.
12. Complete shift work promptly and thoroughly as per department standards.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.
