Ole Times Country Buffet in Macon, GA seeks a dedicated Baker to prepare traditional Southern baked goods, ensure freshness, and maintain a clean, organized bakery area. You will work with the kitchen team to keep production flowing and deliver an exceptional dining experience for guests.

Candidates should have basic culinary training or bakery experience; flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays; ability to lift up to 70 lbs; and a strong commitment to food safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience in bakery or food service preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
• Teamwork and clear communication with kitchen and front-of-house staff.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare traditional Southern baked goods such as cobblers, brownies, pies, cakes, and rolls according to recipes and standards.
• Ensure baked goods are produced in a timely manner and served fresh to guests.
• Monitor oven temperatures and baking times for consistency and quality.
• Maintain cleanliness of baking equipment and workspace per health and safety standards.
• Assist in inventory management to ensure baking ingredients are stocked.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate baking schedules and production flow.
• Uphold a positive, team-oriented attitude and support front-of-house staff.
• Communicate inventory needs and quality concerns with management.
• Perform additional tasks to support kitchen operations and guest dining experience.
