ShopRite in Garafalo CT seeks a Bakery Associate to assist the Bakery Manager with baking, dough mixing, icing, packaging and filling of pastries and breads. You will help maintain a clean, appealing department and ensure safe, efficient operation in accordance with company policy.

The role requires physical stamina to stand, lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, and work in varying temperatures while delivering friendly customer service and following QA standards.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak English proficiently.
• Able to stand/walk for entire shift.
• Regularly lift up to 25 lbs and occasionally 50 lbs.
• Work in varying temperatures.
• Interact with customers in a friendly, helpful manner.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized bakery area.
• Follow QA and safety standards for sanitation and equipment.
• Prepare pastries and breads according to recipes and guidelines.
• Rotate and display products for freshness and accuracy in pricing.
• Assist Bakery Manager with daily operations and special orders.
• Provide excellent customer service and promote sales.
